WHAT AMBROLEX IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?
Amberlex R is a medicine that acts secretly in respiratory diseases accompanied by thick secretions.
Ambrolex P is used for mucolytic treatment in acute and exacerbated chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs, accompanied by thick secretions.
BEFORE YOU TAKE AMBROLEX R
Do not use Ambrolex R:
If you are allergic to ambroxol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of the product.
Take special care with Amberlex P
There have been rare reports of acute skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and Liel's Syndrome occurring after ambroxol.
Therefore, if you notice any skin and mucosal reactions, you should consult a doctor immediately and discontinue the use of abbosol.
In some rare bronchial disorders associated with increased mucosal secretion, Ambrolex R should only be used under drug surveillance because of the risk of accumulation of bronchial secretion.
Ambrolex R should be used with caution in patients with a stomach ulcer.
Patients with impaired hepatic and renal function.
If you have abnormal kidney function or severe liver disease, Ambrolex P may only be used with extreme caution.
In patients with acute renal failure, the accumulation of ambroxol metabolites should be considered.
Ambrolex R is not suitable for children under the age of 12 due to the high content of the drug.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
As there is insufficient experience in pregnant women, Ambrolex P can be used during pregnancy only by the doctor who is treating you, and only after careful consideration of the risks and benefits of this treatment
The drug substance is excreted in the milk of the animals. If you are breast-feeding, you should only use Ambrolex P at the discretion of your doctor as there is insufficient experience with breast-feeding.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Ambrolex P
This medicine contains sucrose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to certain sugars, please consult with your doctor before taking this medicine.
HOW TO ACCEPT AMBROLEX R
Always take Ambrolex P exactly as shown in this leaflet or follow the instructions of your doctor.
Except if your doctor has not prescribed you otherwise, the usual dose is:
Adults and children over 12 years:
The usual dose is 1 ampoulex prolonged-release capsule daily.
Directions for use:
If symptoms increase or no improvement is achieved after 4-5 day therapy, please consult your doctor.
If you have the impression that the effect of Ambrox P is too strong or too weak for you, please consult your doctor.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Immune system disorders
Uncommon - allergic reactions, fever
Very rare - acute allergic reactions leading to shock.
Uncommon - bruising, stomach pain, vomiting
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders
Very rare - acute skin reactions, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and Liel's syndrome.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IN THE EVENT OF ANY ADVERSE REACTIONS:
For the first symptoms of hypersensitivity reactions, stop taking Ambrolex Q.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor.
The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride
1 prolonged-release capsule contains 75 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride.
Excipients are: gelatin, sucrose, shellac, corn starch, povidone, talc, titanium dioxide, indigotin, yellow iron oxide.
Additional information for patients with diabetes mellitus:
1 prolonged-release capsule contains carbohydrate equivalent to 0.01 bbl.
