WHAT SOLCOSERYL EYE GEL IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
SOLCOSERYL  eye gel contains deproteinized hemodialysis from calf blood, which aids healing processes.

It is specifically designed for:

mechanical damage to the cornea and conjunctiva (erosions and traumas), after keratoplasty, cataract extraction, antiglaucomatous operations;
chemical, thermal and ray burns of the cornea;
corneal ulcers, keratitis (bacterial, viral, fungal) at the epithelial stage;
corneal dystrophy of different genesis;
as well as to shorten the period of adaptation to contact lenses.

2. BEFORE YOU USE SOLCOSERYL  GEL FOR EYES
Eye gels and ointment stick to contact lenses. Therefore, contact lenses should not be used when using Soloseril eye gel. Remember that the medicine is prescribed for the treatment of a specific disease. It should not be used to treat other diseases or to be administered to another person. Observe hygienic procedures such as hand washing to cure eye injuries.

Do not use  SOLCOSERYL gel for eyes

if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to deproteinised hemodialysis or any of the other ingredients of SoloCeryl.
Take special care with Holoseril eye gel
Special care should be taken if you use contact lenses (see ingredient information below).

Using other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Driving and using machines
Soloseril has a moderate influence on the ability to drive and use machines. Short-term visual disturbances (decrease in visual acuity) may occur immediately after using the eye gel. Patients should not drive or operate machines 20 minutes after using the medicine.

Important information about some of the ingredients of SOLCOSERYL eye gel
The medicine contains benzalkonium chloride that can cause irritation. Avoid contact with soft lenses. Remove the lenses before using the gel and wait for 15 minutes before putting the lenses back on. It is known that benzalkonium chloride discolors soft contact lenses.

3. HOW TO USE SOLCOSERYL  GEL FOR EYES
Always use Holoseril gel exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is 1 drop 3-4 times daily in the conjunctival sac, unless the doctor prescribes another schedule. After use, immediately close the tube and do not touch the nozzle. The duration of treatment is no more than 7-10 days.
Do not change the prescribed dose without the doctor's permission. If you feel that the effect of treatment is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

If you forget to use Holoseril eye gel
Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

If you stop using  SOLCOSERYL  eye gel
If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Soloselil eye gel can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
After dropping of Soloseril gel, transient short-term burning may occur, which is not a reason for cessation of treatment. Active substances from the eye gel may reach the blood stream and the side effects may be not only local but also expressed elsewhere in the body.

If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.


5. HOW TO STORE SOLOSERYL GEL FOR EYES
Store the medicine in original packaging at temperatures below 30 ° C.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use Holoseril gel after the expiry date which is stated on the carton.
Do not use Holoseril eye gel for longer than four weeks after opening the tube.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of your unnecessary medicines. These measures will help to protect the environment.

The active substance is: deproteinized hemodialysis from calf blood, chemically and biologically standardized 8.3 mg / g.
The other ingredients are: benzalkonium chloride, sodium edetate, sorbitol, carmellose sodium and water for injections.
