WHAT AMMONAPS IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?
Ammonaps tablets are available in bottles containing 250 tablets. The bottles are provided with non-childproof caps and contain a desiccant.
The tablets are white in color, oval shaped.
AMMONAPS is prescribed to patients with urea cycle disorders. Patients suffering from these relatively rare diseases have a lack of certain liver enzymes and therefore do not have the potential to eliminate the organic waste nitrogen that forms after the consumption of proteins. The waste nitrogen is in the form of ammonia, which is particularly toxic to the brain and leads in severe cases to disturbances of consciousness and coma.

HOW TO APPLY AMMONAPS
The daily dose of Ammonaps tablets is determined by the extent to which you or your child tolerate protein intake, diet, body weight or body surface area. Blood tests should be performed to determine the exact dose of the drug.
You should take Ammoplast through the mouth in equal doses during meals. Amponaph tablets should not be given to children under the age of 6, as there is a risk of suffocation if they can not swallow them. In these cases, Ammonaps granules are recommended.
