WHAT FENISTIL GEL AND WHAT IT IS USED
FENISTIL GEL contains an active substance belonging to the group of medicines called antihistamines. They are also used for the relief of skin allergies and many different types of pruritus.
FENISTIL gel is cooling, colorless, non-oily gel odorless. It does not stain clothes.
FENISTIL GEL alleviates pruritus by blocking the action of histamine - a substance that is released into the body during an allergic reaction. Applied to the skin, it relieves itching and irritation. FENISTIL GEL has a local anesthetic effect.
FENISTIL gel penetrates the skin. Itching and irritation are alleviated quickly, within a few minutes.
FENISTIL gel is used to relieve itching associated with skin rashes, urticaria, insect bites, sun burns and superficial.
2. BEFORE YOU USE FENISTIL GEL
Do not use FENISTIL GEL
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or to any of the ingredients of FENISTIL GEL (see p.6).
Inform your doctor or pharmacist because FENISTIL GEL is not suitable for you in these circumstances.
Take special care with FENISTIL GEL
Avoid prolonged sun exposure on large areas of the body on which it is applied gel.
Inform your doctor if it is a very strong itch or extensive damage to the skin.
Using other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy and breastfeeding do not use FENISTIL GEL on large skin surfaces, especially if you are injured or inflamed. Do not put gel on the nipples if you are breastfeeding.
In infants and young children do not use FENISTIL GEL on large skin surfaces, especially if you are injured or inflamed.
3. HOW TO USE FENISTIL GEL
Apply 2 to 4 times daily to the affected areas.
Consult your doctor if your symptoms do not improve within a week. If you accidentally swallow FENISTIL GEL, inform your doctor.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, FENISTIL gel can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
FENISTIL gel may cause mild dryness or burning sensation on the skin.
In very rare cases may occur skin rash or itching, if you experience these symptoms, stop using FENISTIL GEL and inform your doctor or pharmacist.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice other effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
5. HOW TO STORE FENISTIL GEL
Keep out of reach of children. Do not store above 25 ° C.
Do not use FENISTIL GEL after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
