What is Baneocin powder for skin and what it is used for
Baneocin powder for skin is a combination of two antibiotics, intended only for external use. It contains two substances that have a strong effect when applied topically and have an antibacterial (microbial) effect: bacitracin and neomycin.
Both antibiotics are effective against many different micro-organisms that cause disease. Their spectrum of action is complementary and partly increases the overall effect.
They are usually well tolerated and their effectiveness is not reduced by secreting wounds, pus, blood or tissue components. Therefore, Baneocin powder for skin can be used locally on the skin, mucous membranes and wounds, and so on.
Baneochin powder for skin helps natural breathing of the skin, thus providing a soothing and cooling effect.
Baneocin powder for skin is effective against infections caused by microorganisms that are susceptible to neomycin and / or bacitracin:
small-area bacterial infections of the skin such as:
Bacterially infected herpes simplex (Herpes simplex blisters, herpes zoster) and varicella, impetigo contagiosa, infected ulcers cruris, infected skin rashes (eczema), bacterial infected rashes induced by diapers (diaper dermatitis).
prophylaxis of uterine infection in neonates
Baneocin powder for skin can be used as adjunctive therapy in post-operative treatment, for example:
removal of tissue (cut, burn);
painful skin tears (fissures);
tearing of the perineum;
perineal incision (episiotomy);
wet wounds and scars.

Therefore, it is recommended that such patients undergo urine, blood, and / or hearing examination before and during intensive care.
After frequent or long-term use of Baneocin powder for skin, there may be a risk of developing muscle weakness. If you are already suffering from this (eg myasthenia gravis or similar disorder), your condition may get worse.
Prolonged use of antibiotics may favor the growth of persistent microorganisms.

Not known (can not be estimated from the available data):
