What is Algoson Plus and what it is used for?
Algoson Plus is a white or almost white, round, flat tablet, with a line on one side.
Algoson Plus is a medicine that contains a combination of three active ingredients: metamizole, vitamin B1 and caffeine.
Algoson Plus has a pronounced analgesia and temperature-limiting effect, moderate anti-inflammatory action and spasmolytic activity due to metamizole.
Caffeine has a stimulating effect on the nervous system, constricts blood vessels and lowers intracerebral pressure, enhances the action of metamizole by facilitating penetration into the brain tissue.
Vitamin B1 has a beneficial effect on inflammatory processes in the nervous system, conducting nerve impulses and improving metabolism.

Algoson Plus is used for the symptomatic treatment of pain of different origins:
Headache (type-type, migraine) and toothache;
Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the locomotory system (rheumatic pain);
After surgery and trauma;
Diseases of the peripheral nervous system (radiculitis, plexitis, neuritis, neuralgia, polyneuritis, polyneuropathies);
Menstrual pain.

2. What you need to know before taking Algoson Plus
Do not take Algoson Plus tablets:
If you are allergic to the active substances (metamizole, caffeine, vitamin B1) or other pyrazolone derivatives or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
If you have low white blood cell counts (leucopenia), low platelet counts (thrombocytopenia), anemia, hepatic porphyria;
If you suffer from bronchial asthma; Severe liver and / or kidney failure;
If you have congenital glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
Algoson Plus should not be used during pregnancy and lactation and in children under 12 years of age.

Warnings and precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Algoson Plus if you have or have had any health problems, especially any of the following:
Pronounced food, medication or other type of allergy;
Impaired renal and / or hepatic function;
Active ulcerative disease;
Rhythm disorders;
Severe headache of vague origin;
For frequent and longer-term administration of Algron Plus, blood counts should be controlled.
Algoson Plus should not be taken for at least 12 hours before tests using adenosine or dipyridamole, as caffeine may affect the test results.
Do not use together with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and metamizole.

Tablets should not be used in children under 12 years of age.

Other Drugs and Algoson Plus
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
The combination of Alzone Plus with other medicines requires caution because of the metabolism of metamizole, which affects the metabolism of certain medicines. Applying Algrosone Plus simultaneously with other anti-inflammatory, anti-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory drugs increases the risk of allergic reactions.
There is a risk of low white blood cell counts when Alzone Plus is administered concomitantly and blood-thinning products.
Some drugs from the neuroleptic and tranquilizers group enhance the anti-angric action of Algoson Plus.
Co-administration with chlorpromazine may cause a sudden decrease in body temperature.
Some oral contraceptives and antidepressants slow down the degradation of metamizole and thus may increase the toxicity of Algoson Plus.
It is not recommended to take Alzone Plus in a tissue transplant due to the metamizole property of reducing the blood cyclosporin A concentration.
Concomitant use with sympathomimetics may cause excitation
The central nervous system.
Do not take metamizole and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs together.

Accepting Algoson Plus with food, drink and alcohol
There are no restrictions on the use of the product and the intake of food and drink.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
This medicine should not be used by pregnant women.

Driving and using machines

Algoson Plus contains wheat starch and should not be used in people with celiac disease (gluten enteropathy).
Patients with wheat allergy (other than celiac disease) should not take this product.

3. How to take Algoson Plus
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Algoson Plus is taken orally with enough fluid.

The recommended dose for adults is: 1 tablet 3 times a day.
The maximum dose for adults is 6 tablets / 24 hours.

Use in children and adolescents
Children and adolescents from 12 to 16 years:
The recommended dose is: 1/2 to 1 tablet 3 times a day.
The maximum dose for children and adolescents 12 to 16 years of age is 4 tablets / 24 hours.

The tablet can be divided into equal doses.
Without consultation with a doctor, the treatment course should not last longer than 3 to 5 days.

If you take more Algoson Plus than you should
If you take a higher dose than the recommended one, contact your doctor immediately for help!
No overdose has been observed under the recommended dosage regimen.
In case of accidental ingestion of large quantities of the product, one can observe:
Nausea, vomiting, agitation, insomnia, headache, vertigo, tinnitus, more severe cases, reduction to urinary excretion, convulsions, anemia, abrupt decrease in white blood cell count.
Treatment: stomach, activated charcoal, laxatives. If symptomatic treatment is required, there is no specific antidote. Treatment is performed in a hospital setting.
If you experience symptoms of overdosage, contact a doctor immediately.

If you forget to take Algoson Plus
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed tablet.
Take the medicine at the next scheduled time without increasing the dose.

4. Possible side effects

5. How to store Algoson Plus
